Do I need dance experience to join?
Absolutely not. Most of our dancers start with zero experience. Our Absolute Beginner Program is designed specifically for adults learning from scratch — no rhythm, flexibility, or background required.

- Ballet: ballet slippers
- Hip-Hop: clean sneakers (studio only)
- Tap: tap shoes
- Modern / African / Praise / Stretch: barefoot or socks
- Jazz: jazz shoes or barefoot
If you’re brand new, any clean athletic shoes and comfy clothes are perfect for Day 1.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the front desk, meet your instructor, and settle in. Your first class always begins with a brief welcome so you feel comfortable.
How do I check in for class?
For your first class, check in at the front desk.
After that, you can check in directly through the SCD App when you arrive.
You may check in:

Are the classes adult-only?
Am I too old to start dancing?
Never.
Our oldest student is in their 70s, and they shine. Dance is for every age, every body, and every story.
